Bloomfield Collieries decided in December 2005 to upgrade their existing dump structure. The upgrade required that the existing Reinforced Earth retaining wall be pulled down and re-built to cater for heavy loadings, i.e increased dump vehicle capacity. Due to heavy vertical loadings & influence of building close to wall active wedge with dead & live loads in excess of 25kPa, KeySteel was used for the main wall with wall returns utilising a Keystone/Geogrid solution.... more info.

2.2m high, 100mlong cribwall was constructed adjacent to a fire access road retaining insitu cuttings at Lakes Grammer School. This design & constuct solution was an alternative to traditional reinforced concrete blockwork retaining wall. The works was completed within 10 days from bulk excavation through to final battering of top of wall profiling to achieve athe wall.... more info.
