General Information

Retaining Solutions Design Construct Pty Ltd, trading as “Retaining Solutions” is a design and construct specialty contractor with experience and expertise in value engineering of site specific earth retaining structures and earthmoving plant hire (“Plant Hire Solutions”).

Other services include both commercial paving & stone veneer applications (“Paving Solutions”).
Retaining Solutions is dedicated to providing the very best products and services to its clients. At Retaining Solutions quality construction is our number one priority. Along with these business partners, we are able to consistently deliver on that priority; Retaining Solutions personnel have over 50 years of combined experience in retaining wall construction and paving applications and have been involved in major retaining wall projects locally in NSW and Australia wide.

Recent construction projects have involved work on major NSW RTA roadworks projects and mining dump structures offering the total earthworks solution.

Retaining Solutions formed in response to a void in the marketplace, i.e. the need for a specialty design, project management, construct contractor who was knowledgeable and capable of providing the commercial and municipal markets with grade change solutions.

Occupational Health & Safety

The protection of health and safety of all personnel engaged on a project is vital to its success which is why Retaining Solutions is committed to the implementation and maintenance of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System for all projects undertaken by the company.

This system has been developed to comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the NSW Government Occupational Health and Safety Management System Guidelines, with Australian Building Codes and with Australian Building Codes.

To achieve these objectives, Retaining Solutions requires that:

  • a project-specific site safety plan is prepared, implemented and communicated to all personnel who will be working on site
  • all personnel engaged on the project, including subcontractors, are appropriately inducted and trained in occupational health and safety, as required by the client and our company
  • all personnel undertake to be responsible for the safety of the workplace and their fellow workers
  • regular checks are performed on site work practices
  • all plant and equipment is in good working order, and that operators are trained and/or qualified in the operation of the equipment
  • all personnel have been trained for their specific job
  • incidents, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and accidents are promptly reported and investigated
  • correct preventative measures are implemented in the event of an accident
  • potential risks/hazards are identified, documented and controlled through communication between Retaining Solutions, the client and site personnel.
